Hungarikum Kuvasz Kennel
"NEW Litter" I would like to introduce you to my newest litter between Possum and Danika.
1.)

This is a repeat breeding as the first batch illustrated the temperaments and working ability I strive to achieve as a breeder; hence I decided to repeat the litter.
What can be said about Possum? Possum has the most incredible brain I have encountered in this breed. Yes, all well-bred Kuvaszok should be highly adaptable, with great situational awareness and ability to think and act independently, but Possum takes this to the next level. For the first two years of his life Possum guarded 200 sheep and 30 cattle and only knew the life of a LGD with minimal exposure to the outside world. When I brought him back and even with minimal socialization or training, it was incredible to see how he was able to adjust to urban environments, family life, etc. He is always 100% reliable and there to guard when needed, yet is the gentlest and most affectionate dog in public, with kids or small animals. Possum went to a show in June 2025 and finished his Canadian Championship and a week later fought off a pack of coyotes that ambushed some of our puppies out in the field, which shows his versatility and adaptability. Possum truly is a fantastic ambassador for our breed and hence why we take him to so many events like the farm show, pet expo and "meet the breed" events. No wonder every person that meets him says, "I want a dog like Possum".
Danika was also a working LGD for the first 3 years of her life, guarding a herd of goats in Eastern Ontario on an isolated homestead that experienced a high coyote predator load. She looked after the goats with minimal human interference or direction and they never lost a single animal on her watch. Much like Possum, without any special socialization to training, she was able to quickly adapt to a completely different lifestyle, but she remains the tough as nail guardian. She is incredibly confident in all scenarios and would never back down from anything.

2.)
I have searched the world over for unique, unrelated and work capable bloodlines, especially in Hungary and its neighbouring countries like Serbia and Romania. This mating combines some old Hungarian bloodlines with those lines that were found in old Ex-Yugoslavia, including the bloodline of my very first Kuvasz. As a breeder you always have the highest hopes for every litter you plan, with the goal of improving the breeding stock, and in the case of rare breed like a Kuvasz, preserving old bloodlines that can expand the gene pool. With this mating, I'm anticipating puppies with correct type, strong pigmentation, very athletic build with great agility and movement and temperaments that live up to those of their ancestors. Nine puppies, (5 girls and 4 boys - only females left) were born, and of course, a number of the best puppies will be held back for future breeding, but some are available to suitable livestock guardian, companion as well as breeding prospect homes.

Female puppies available for show and/or companion or as LGDs

"Juveniles and Adults Available"
Lumi - 4 year old, large-sized female that used to live and work in the Yukon guarding a homestead. She is a no-nonsense serious guardian that has on numerous occasions even chased off grizzly bears protecting her property and people. If you need a serious guardian dog, Lumi might just be the ideal candidate for the job.

Mischief - 18 month old female, with an exceptionally typy (correct type) head (notice the proper wedge shaped head and almond shaped eyes), excellent coat, dark pigmentation, proper angulation, sound structure and movement and stable temperament. She could be a viable option for someone as a foundation female or to bring in a new bloodline to an existing breeding program.

Betyár - 18 month old male, littermate of Mischief, also illustrating excellent type, with proper head proportions and the desired oblique eyes, abundantly wavy and thick coat, dark pigmentation, well-angulated with excellent ease of movement. He could also make a valuable contribution to a breeding program, especially one desiring to improve type.

I highly encourage you to do as much research about the Kuvasz as possible. Most importantly, please try to understand the difference between a proper Hungarian Kuvasz vs. the North American interpretation of the breed, which is bred to a different standard, thus producing very different dogs.
